Beginner's Approach

  • Free Trial

    Come and meet your teacher for a free lesson and assessment! No obligation to continue if you don't feel like we are a good fit for you.

  • Foundations

    We will set up fingers, hands, arms and whole body correctly to avoid the development of bad habits. Good technique starts at the beginning.

  • Fundamentals of Music

    Students will learn to read notes using our innovative, child-friendly method. They will develop their rhythm through ear training games and exercises.

  • Practice Strategies

    Helping you develop practice strategies for you household, so that we keep making progress together.

  • Yes! We use www.fortelessons.com as our online lesson platform. This has been proven to be more effective than Zoom for online classes. We work hard to ensure the process is as effective as it can possible be.

  • Practice needs to take place everyday for significant progress to occur. In your interview, we will discuss our expectations for practice and how to include this in your weekly schedule.

  • We partner with Stripe to offer monthly online payments via credit card. E-transfer is also accepted.

  • It is not mandatory. Typically, we recommend that students sit an exam every other year. The years in between exams allow for wide study of repertoire and the chance for the student to discover new music.
